The Purple Bull

The Purple Bull

1 minute read

I met Wayne Taylor while at school at UW Madison. With my good luck I just happened to live across the street from him and Donna.

Wayne Taylor was the head of the art department at Madison. He was a sculptor and print maker. He did a series of prints based on historic documents of farm animals, like the purple bull, executed with secondary colors not usually associated with the breeds.

Wayne and I became life long friends. When I was opening my first store, it coincided with my birthday. I am a Taurus, Wayne thought it fitting, and gifted me a print of the purple bull. It’s been a part of my journey ever since. -LS
